Channel 6 acts as if no news happens on the weekend. They have about 1/2 of the stories on the weekend as they normally have during the week. Other than that it's a pretty good app.
still doesn't always open from the notification, and even the app itself, been this way for awhile, other than that, I like it a lot
Horrible. Once installed I would randomly get an audible update "A News Station Alert Has Arrived!!" But no actual update info nor what app was doing this. Took forever to figure out which app. Never again!!
This app hardly ever works and is never consistant...i open the app..i go to news and usually only loads the outbrain ad "news" hell i can get updated news by sticking my head out the door ..shoddy programming...i can say that as i have been a developer for 20 yrs.
Why would anyone want a loud video ad to come in when they are just trying to look at the weather or news? I can't find anyway to disable it unless I turn my volume off first. Very annoying! They definitely aren't the first local news app that I use.
I'm trying to get info on getting injected 1st shot and everyone ignored me by early crew. I'm no mean but I do voice. Sad. Now.same day..they made a Delicious dish but only if you have the $300,000.00 kitchen..sad. I had1...it was never like that. I think we used that mixer for potatoes and cookies. My bought it for $500. Most Mom's don't train Dad's to use it for them..sad. No.
Any app that gives you an ad before you get to the opening screen is not worth having!
Joke news app. Whats with the stupid adds when i open the app. Your telling me that wowt is hard up for money that you must run adds? Worthless AF!!!!!!
I 100% hate video advertisem*nts. Every time you open the app, there's a new one you have to sit through. No thanks, I'll just use the website.
The only things this app is good for is sports and coronavirus updates. The only notifications I get are about the virus, and nothing else. Every time I try to get the headlines it takes me to sports, and nothing else. And since there's no sports, almost everything is a rehash of the past. It's getting hard to call this news.
Exceptionally slow to alert on key events. Channel 7s app beats them every time. Beats them by 5-10 minutes at the least.
I downloaded this app last year for my iPhone and it was great and even had the unique app provided sounder (WOWT-NBC chimes) when I switched to Android recently, the app no longer has the chimes sounder. WOWT, please fix the app so that Android users get the NBC chimes/app provided sound. KETV app has their own sounder that makes them stand out. And their's pops up on my screen.
Great Newscast playback! But does take time to load with a full page ad to start up. Other than that, a 5 Star.
Only loading ads not news or weather. Finally got it to work after 4 months. Thanks you. Very responsive when I complained again.
Love love love the layout but it crashes waaay too often at least 50% of the time when attempting to open the app. Gives a network error message and has to restart.
This app has great information, however it takes forever to load each time it is opened. Needs to be fixed.
Slow and doesn't show up all the time and tells me I dont have GPS set up but I clearly do so I dont get notifications
While the weather portion is always up to date, the actual news stories haven't refreshed for almost 3 weeks now. I thought it would improve by updating, but that was no help.
Unfortunately, this app is not very user friendly. It takes a long time to load and when it does you get an ad that you have to close before using the ap. There are so many ads. Most apps provide additional news after reading a news story. This app has ads that seem to go on forever. It is disappointing as I enjoy WOWT news coverage. I'll stick to getting my news from them on the TV. For now KETV has a superior app.
Heck of an update. 100% ads absolutely no news and no way to refresh or escape.
