About the Dallmann Chocolate Tasting Experience

Chocolate is a versatile and delicious treat. While you may be more familiar with the box of chocolates you get from any grocery store or mall, our fancy chocolates are made with the finest European chocolate handmade by a third-generation Austrian chocolatier. And our tasting events are an exploration to remember.

Here at Dallmann’s, our goal is to introduce you to our handmade hand-picked chocolates by Isabella Knack, the owner and head chocolatier at Dallmann Confections. The chocolate tasting experience we provide will take you on a virtual tour that taps into each taste bud transporting you on a culinary journey of fusion flavors and delectable delights. And you’ll fall into a divine heaven by pairing each tantalizing bite with a sip of a delectable drink provided by our very own sommelier, Jayson Knack.

Just imagine that perfect chocolate and wine tasting experience! Of course, we all know that chocolate and wine pairing is common, but wine isn’t the only option. Who Does the Chocolate Tasting?

You’ll do the tasting from the comfort of your own home. Either with friends, colleagues and/or family in the same room and via your favorite video calling platforms, such as Microsoft Teams, Skype, or Zoom. Perhaps you have a preferred platform your company uses or everyone you know has access to? No worries! When we talk about your class or event, we’ll also discuss what platform in which you’d like us to host your chocolate tasting experience.

How Do Our Chocolate Tasting Events Work?

First, start by filling out the form below – easy! Then we’ll return your inquiry within 24 hours to discuss the time and date that suits your group (minimum of 4 is required) and book your virtual chocolate tasting session. Once the chocolate tasting class is scheduled and mailing information is shared, each person in your group will be sent a box of chocolates sealed in plastic wrap, hugged in ice packs, and cradled in thermal wrap so it arrives intact and ready to eat. You’ll then sign it at the agreed time and be guided by one of our master chocolatiers who will join you on the call to take everyone through how to taste chocolate, what flavors you should be tasting with each chocolate truffle, and, of course, the very important task of how to pair your drink of choice or wine with our delicious treats.

Who are These Chocolate Tasting Workshops and events for?

Our virtual chocolate tasting group experiences are for groups of four or more, and best shared with friends, loved ones, colleagues, or clients. Our chocolate tastings are perfect for team building events within your company, corporate events, and virtual event conferences. Schedule our virtual chocolate classes for Christmas, end-of-year, or a memorable New Year’s party. Our chocolate tasting events are even great for weddings, anniversaries, and engagement events that people can’t attend in person but who are looking for that intimate gathering and personal experience. Really, options are endless. Whatever you can think of, we will accommodate you. We’re here to bring people, businesses, and clients together to share a common love of chocolate, and what better way to do it than with something yummy to drink too?

How to Play?

Once we have figured out the details of your event we will ask you to fill out an excel sheet with the shipping information for all the participants. Your participants information is confidential and will only be used for your event.
We will ship your box of goodies through 2-day shipping with thermal wrap and ice packs to make sure the chocolates arrive in perfect condition. You will also receive an email when your chocolates ship and arrive at their destination. We will make sure your box arrives at least 1-4 days before the scheduled event to be sure its in perfect condition and any hic-ups can be resolved before the actual class takes place. A calendar invite will be sent to all participants with a link and code to the meeting. After you accept the link its time to relax and look forward to a fun event of tasting and pairing.

Important Information

Dallmann’s virtual chocolate tasting events are held on specific days and time slots, so we’ll discuss at least three options to ensure a date and time that best suits your group’s schedule. Payments will be taken beforehand and are non-refundable. Bookings may be altered on a discretionary basis; please contact as soon as possible for more information, but notice must be at least 10 days in advance.

Some of our chocolate boxes may contain nuts or other allergens, so please ensure you discuss this with all of your group members and pick the box that is right for you and your group. You can also discuss this with us to see how we can accommodate certain allergies, but it will depend on how detailed the requirement is, and there is an additional charge for the extra coordination and care.

During the event, we may be discussing wine and chocolate pairing and other food and drinks, and as such, we can only accept bookings from groups where all members are over the legal age for alcohol consumption in your state.

We can accommodate non-alcoholic options for those who would prefer not to do chocolate and wine pairing, and we offer other dietary options, such as vegan and vegetarian events, so please do contact us beforehand to discuss these requirements.

What is included in a tasting kit?

Our tasting kit's include (5) assorted artisanal truffles, a custom designed tasting mat and a selection of (4) different types of couverture chocolate chips. We can always upgrade your tasting to our signature 9pc, 16pc or even our 25pc box!

How much does a virtual tasting cost?

Our 5pc virtual tasting starts at $55 per person. Free shipping to continental US addresses! (No PO Box or APO). We have a minimum of $750 to book a virtual tasting. All tastings require a 7-day lead time to ensure that we can produce your truffles fresh and for the tasting kit to arrive.

Do you ship Internationally?

Yes! International shipment of chocolate is handled through our shipping partners. We ship all over the world to places like the UK, Canada, and Australia to name a couple places. Please contact us directly for current pricing.

How big or small can a virtual tasting be?

We have a minimum of $750 to book a virtual tasting. We can host tastings of up to 1000 people. Please contact us directly if your group is larger than 1000 people.

How long is a virtual tasting experience?

Our virtual chocolate experiences last 30-40 minutes depending on group participation.

Who will host the virtual chocolate tasting?

We are happy to host your virtual tasting on Zoom. If you would like to use a different platform we are happy to join your meeting. We’ve even been asked to host the event at a client’s studio so they could use their cameras, lighting, etc. as well as their production staff. Almost anything is possible; just let us know what you’d like to do for the event, and we’ll let you know what we can accommodate.
